Privacy
In short
We use the information you send us to respond to your enquiry, arrange a visit or Bible study, or handle a prayer request. The details below explain who reads messages and how prayer requests are shared.
What we collect
Wellington Church of Christ, 95 Webb Street, Wellington 6011, collects the information you send through this site.
When you use a website form, we collect the name, contact details and message you provide. We also collect your selected topic, gathering or meeting preference where the form asks for it. Fields marked optional can be left blank; we need the others to reply to you.
For members’ sign-in, we collect an email address.
How we use it
Messages sent through our website forms are read by our Pastoral Care and Communications groups.
We normally share prayer requests with the congregation so the church can pray. Tell us in your message if you do not want yours shared.
We use external services, including Supabase, Netlify and Resend, to operate the website and handle messages. These services may process or store the information you submit.
The weather line on the Gatherings and I’m New pages uses forecast data from MET Norway for our building’s location. The forecast is fetched through our own server, so nothing about you or your location is sent to them.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020, you can ask to access the personal information we hold about you and request corrections. You can also ask us to delete information; we will consider that request alongside any lawful reason to retain it.
For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email wellingtoncoc@gmail.com and mark your message “Privacy”.
If you are unhappy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
